Riverfest
Saturday, September 6th, 2008Hello everyone! I hope the semester is going well for all and that school isn’t keeping you too busy so far. Mine is getting in the swing of things and going pretty well. I know one class in particular is going to keep me a little stressed, but it won’t be too bad. I know that I’m going to learn a lot from it. That class is the one that I am doing my clinical rotation with. I will be at Clarksville’s NEW hospital working on the Bariatric and Med Surg floor. I’m really excited and my clinical instructor seems really laid back and willing to help us learn. That’s always good because sometimes I think my nerves get the best of me, especially when it’s something new like this where you haven’t fully established your confidence.

So Riverfest is being held this weekend in downtown Clarksville, (www.clarksvilleriverfest.com) which is always a lot of fun! It’s kind of like the Fall version of Rivers and Spires. I went last night for a couple of hours despite the rain and watched John Winters play. He even performed some of his original songs last night. Tonight Jake Owen and American Idol’s Phil Stacey will be performing also. But for anyone who is interested in going there’s plenty to do– lots of booths and lots of food (however, I’m not really sure what “walking tacos,” “curly chips,” and “elephant ears” are?).
Have a great weekend!
Until next time….
